JCB North America Opens New Facility in Houston

JCB North America recently opened a new $8 million facility in Houston named Monk JCB. Monk JCB joins a rapidly growing network of dealerships for JCB.

Alice Bamford, daughter of JCB chairman Lord Bamford and granddaughter of company founder Joseph Cyril Bamford, officiated the ceremony.

Providing financial support for newly formed independently owned JCB-only sales, service, and parts dealers, JCB's Sponsored Dealer program includes the investment in the facility leased to the dealer. Bryan Monk, dealer principal and owner of Monk JCB said, "Where else would you get this with a major manufacturer?”

The new 13,000-square-foot building sits on a five-acre site and features the JCB model T-Shaped building design with a single entrance for customers to access sales, service, and parts in one place. The facility is situated on one of the busiest roads in Texas, drawing almost 300,000 passing cars daily.

“The opening of Monk JCB is an important part of JCB North America’s growth strategy which includes sponsoring dealerships in key market areas,” said Richard Fox-Marrs, president and CEO of JCB North America. “In addition to Monk JCB, we also have sponsored facilities in Dallas and southern California and will continue to add dealerships in other metro areas.”

The team at Monk JCB, led by Bryan Monk, dealer principal, have more than three decades of experience and success in the industry including doubling revenues and market share by double digits.

Also attending the ribbon cutting event were Wesley Hunt (for Congress); Jeff Nielsen, Houston Contractors Association; Dru Gutierrez, North Houston District, and other JCB dealers and executives.
